I don’t mean to be dramatic, but it did.
While I had been introduced to yoga a few different times during my life prior, I started really exploring and cultivating my yoga practice in 2014, when I was 29 years old. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I was about to embark on an incredibly challenging period of my life. And at a time when it seemed like nothing else in my life was going right (at all), my yoga practice helped keep me grounded, helped me learn how to listen to myself, and ultimately helped me become the much healthier version of myself that I am today.
Growing my yoga practice also kept me in contact with like-minded people, both a local and global community of yoga practitioners, and helped me live my values by sharing the gifts of body-positivity, mindfulness, and reflection that yoga provides.
I received my 200-hour Yoga Teacher certification in 2018 and have been teaching small group and 1:1 classes ever since! I’ve been lucky enough to teach past classes at Metta Yoga Initiative (Indianapolis), Indiana Yoga Studio (Lebanon, Brownsburg) and Trivergence Training (Indianapolis).
I’m so happy that you’re here practicing with me. I truly believe that our yoga practice matters, for the betterment of ourselves and others, so really- thank you for being here! I hope you have a good day!
